freedom vs Security

I was asked by a teacher, “What is more important to you - security or freedom? Has it changed throughout your life”?

My answer:

The meaning and the feeling of those two words have changed throughout my life as a child freedom was privilege wrapped in the blanket of security; my parents, schools, teachers, community, culture, my country. Freedom had limits and boundaries which I played freely and tested from time to time. Now freedom is my true love! Freedom gives me hope, strength, drives my intentions and gives directions to my thoughts and actions. Yet, I still feel freedom is intrinsically connected to my/our security, not just a physical sense but in a emotional and spiritual sense. As I grow older and wiser I feel the skills, knowledge, experiences, and connections I have made support me in creating my own sense of security which I inject and project as a vibration of love and positivity from myself to others. Now I have learned use my freedoms to share my feelings so that even though my physical security may to continue to have limitations (some by choice) my mind and soul are infinity free.

Freedom is not in competition with security it is created by it and Vice versa .
